Join us at the Nicolet Bank Show Reception featuring new works from the artists of the Washington Island Art Association.
Celebrate and express the light of your inner spirit! Bring your watercolor paintings up to a new level. Light in all its forms is the single most important tool available for an artist to express mood and drama in a painting. This class is for all levels of watercolorists. My intent is to encourage and inspire you on your journey and enjoyment of watercolor painting. Learn to see the abstract shapes that create realistic subjects.
Let’s get together and paint! Watercolor is exciting and spontaneous. Sometimes “happy accidents” make the most interesting paintings. This class will help both beginner and experienced artist develop a passion for watercolor while learning new techniques and overcoming challenges. Come paint with me here on Washington Island where there is an abundance of fascination subject matter and a relaxed “island-time’ attitude.
Our annual show at this popular island meeting place. Opening reception July 18th. “Meet The Artist” Jeanne Cauldwell
The WIAA has shown its members work at the Art and Nature Center annually for many years.
Enjoy three afternoons in early September at the Red Barn. Step by step landscape watercolor. Plenty of time before and after class to explore. Subject matter will focus on some of my favorite spots on Washington Island. Also many techniques for skies, clouds, shadows, color mixing and more. Fun, educational and relaxing.
